VOLUNTEERS’ WEEK

Volunteers’ Week is an annual celebration of the contribution millions of people make across the UK through volunteering.

Never stop doing little things for others. Sometimes, those little things occupy the biggest part of their hearts.

Put your skills to use, learn new ones and play an active role in your community.

Volunteering is easier than you might think.

With full support and training, you can volunteer on a flexible basis. Any amount of time that our volunteers give to Scouting is highly valued and appreciated.

Being kind to others is a way of being kind to yourself.

Scouting doesn’t only succeed due to the adults you see in uniform, it thrives thanks to all our team of volunteers behind the scenes.  From secretaries and treasurers to admin support, social media and website makers, to quartermasters, maintenance and gardeners.

The only thing missing from our team is you…

Scouting needs adults with many different skills to enable us to continue to provide young people in our area with Skills For Life

Three great reasons to volunteer

1) You’ll share your skills and experience with young people, while developing yourself
2) You’ll have fun and meet new people in your area
3) You’ll inspire a generation; and they’ll never forget it!

This Volunteers’ Week, why not take the 4 Week Challenge and bring your skills to Scouting, it is Good For You

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
