Management

The 4th Heswall website and social media accounts are managed by the Group’s digital communications team.  Any views expressed are not necessarily the views of 4th Heswall (St. Peter’s) Sea Scout Group or any Scout associated organisation. We do not use any automation (such as tools which generate tweets from RSS feeds) to post content.

We may share posts from accounts we follow which we feel may be relevant or of interest to our members, parents, leaders and followers.  If we mention, display, follow or share content or images from any brand, this does not imply endorsement or promotion by 4th Heswall (St. Peter’s) Sea Scout Group of any kind at any level. We do not receive favour or reward for any such activity.

Communication

You can follow and interact with 4th Heswall Scout Group in various ways online.

Our social media channels are not intended as ways to contact any members directly.  All of the Group’s online activity conforms to Scouting Policy Organisation Rules (POR), with additional information available regarding the Scout UK policy here.

We try to review all @ messages and direct messages every day, but generally we do not reply to them. Even if we do not reply to you directly, that does not mean we aren’t listening to you.  In most circumstances we will not reply to direct messages. The limitations of social media platforms mean that we would not be able to give you a full and useful reply.

If you wish to contact the Group, you can do so by using the contact us page on our website.

Any specific or time precious information will be sent to you directly, or with your permission and should it be necessary, your Scout.

Online Gathering Policy

There are many ways we interact with our members online. Online conference calls with young members can inspire and enthuse our young people in so many ways, unfortunately such activities do present risk in terms of safeguarding.
Please click the link below to see the latest policy regarding this.

Further guidance from the Scout Association on the use of online communication platforms can be found here Digital Platforms for Scouts
