Extra Curricular Achievements

Extra Curricular Achievements

Badges from your extra curricular activities.

Many badges can be completed by uploading evidence of your extra curricular activities, such as Musician, Swimmer and Martial Arts.

Swimmer Staged Badge

If you have achieved swimming awards, take a look at the criteria for the stages on the Scout website, gather your certificates and medals as evidence and ask your adult to submit them.

Musician Staged Badge

If you play a musical instrument and have achieved recognised musical grades, ask your adult to upload your certificates and you’ll get the badge.

You don’t have to play an instrument to start your Musician badge, your voice is a instrument, you can even tap out a tune in some pots and pans for stage one.

Play a piece of music, sing or tap away, get your adult to film it or offer to play your instrument at our AGM or at camp if possible.  See the link below for the badges criteria.

Sailing Staged Badge

If you have achieved RYA Sailing Awards, take a look at the criteria for the stages on the Scout website, gather your certificates and medals as evidence and ask your adult to submit them.

Power Coxswain Activity Badge

If you have achieved a powerboat certificate, take a look at the criteria for the stages on the Scout website, gather your certificates and medals as evidence and ask your adult to submit them.

Martial Arts Activity Badge

If you have achieved awards in one or more of the many different Martial Arts disciplines, take a look at the criteria for the stages on the Scout website, gather your certificates and medals as evidence and ask your adult to submit them.

Snowsports Staged Badge

If you have achieved certificates in winter sports, you have photographic evidence from holiday of you taking part, or get your gear out of the attic and make a video of what it’s all for. Take a look at the criteria for the stages on the Scout website, gather your certificates, videos photos as evidence and ask your adult to submit them on OSM.

Nature and the outdoors are languages that can be learned. Once you identify a beech tree, tie a clove hitch or cook a simple meal over a fire that you’ve built yourself, you’ll never forget it.'
