4th Heswall Sea Scouts RN44

Boys and Girls 10 ½ to 14 years 7:30pm to 9:00pm Wednesdays 7:40pm to 9:10pm Thursdays.

Our Scout Troops consists of a Port Watch and Starboard Watch, each watch is then split into three patrols.

Outdoor activities feature prominently, with the highlight being our annual week long summer camp on the shores of Windermere. Throughout the year, in addition to sailing, kayaking and powerboating, our Scouts learn various skills, such as map reading, navigation, camp cooking and first aid in preparation for the many camp and district challenge events.

During the summer we take to the water on the marine lake from our boathouse in West Kirby, in the winter we go on many night time adventures from our base in Heswall.

Our James Troop meet Wednesday at St Peter’s Centre, 19:30 – 21:00. Harding Troop Thursday at the Lighthouse, 19:40 – 21:10. October to Easter and at the Boathouse on the lake Easter to October as often as leaders are available.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
