Poetic Beavers
Date: 19th Jan 2021
Author: Scout Leader
The 4th Heswall Beaver Colony are having some fantastic experiences on Zoom, treasure hunts, craft sessions, online cooking and a whole host of adventures in this new way of doing things.
During the Autumn Term in 2020 we had guest presenter Conrad Burdekin, a writer, poet and storyteller who runs workshops and teacher training courses throughout the UK.
During our Zoom meeting Conrad inspired our Beavers, and leaders, to think about how we write, what we write about and what would make a good poem. We learnt that a good poem doesn’t always have to make sense, and through some collaborative and imaginative input from everyone online Conrad and our Beavers wrote this inspired poem.
