A Place to Belong

A Place To Thrive

Young people and many adults need a place to be themselves and thrive.

Heswall Sea Scout Group is a place to belong and be part of an amazing team of young people and adults alike.

Scouts is a place to do your best, not be the best.

If you can help 1000’s of young achieve their best, take a look and get in touch.

Scouts is just school with unpaid teachers…

The difference between School and Scouts:

In School you’re taught a lesson, and then given a test.

In Scouts you’re given a test, and that teaches you a lesson.

Scouting is outdoor focused informal education with a splash of adventure, where friendships are forged, you learn skills for life, and make memories to last a lifetime.

Say Yes To Scouts

One day, someone will invite you to help out with your child at Scouts. It might feel like just another activity. Another night on the calendar. Another thing to juggle.

It is important you say “Yes”

  • Say yes to early mornings and muddy boots.
  • Say yes to fishing lines in the water and stories you’ll hear all the way home.
  • Say yes to confidence growing quietly while they think they’re just having fun.

These moments don’t look big at the time.

But they steadily build something…

…independence and resilience, teamwork and leadership.

When the invitation comes, say yes.

Help us inspire a generation whilst witnessing your child, and their friends, transform from shy little people to confident young adults.

Say YES to Scouts…

Want less screen time and more green time?

Scouts Is…

  • Adventurous Fun
  • Unique Experiences
  • Skills For Life
  • Memories For Life
  • Informal Education
  • Leadership Training

EXCITEMENT but not  DANGER

How Scouting Changes You For Life

There’s a moment you realise that Scouting stayed with you, and it’s not when you stopped going, it’s not when the uniform gets put away.

It’s years later when something doesn’t go to plan, and instead of panicking, you adapt.

When someone needs help, and you step forward without really thinking about it.

When you’re trusted with responsibility, and realise that feels familiar.

And at some point it clicks, that confidence doesn’t appear by accident, it was built quietly over time, and somehow it never really left.
