How We Ensure Safety On The Water
- Our group trustees ensure we follow the Scouts UK Policy Organisation Rules, the POR
- As a Royal Navy Affiliated Sea Scout Group we are inspected by the Royal Navy
- Our boathouse is a Royal Yachting Association Recognised Training Cente with an annual RYA inspection of instruction, craft, equipment, systems, and administration
- All our volunteers have enhanced DBS and hold qualifications in First Aid, Safeguarding, and Inclusion
- All our Water Skills Team are assessed by Scouts UK to gain an Activity Permit
- Our RYA Instructors have full instructor qualifications, many are senior instructors
- Our risk management process is robust and routinely reviewed
