The 4th Heswall Beavers had a fabulous evening with members of the local police, Detective Constable Jo Jackson and Local Policing Community Constable Haydn Ward.

We discussed what to do if a stranger approaches us, who we might ask for help, and how to call the emergency services. We learnt about all the important and varied roles of the police, all the equipment they use and even got driven in the police car!

The Beavers were very good at knowing their own addresses and contact details, they asked lots of useful questions and were no bother at all.

Thank you very much Haydn and Jo!

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
