BRILLIANT BEAVERS are BEST

During May West Wirral District Scouts hold their Annual General Meeting and Awards evening at Heswall Hall.

Leaders and supporters from all 14 District Groups, the  Explorer team, the District Management team and invited guests attend the evening to celebrate and recognise Scouting across West Wirral.

We are very pleased to report that on the evening our Beaver lodges, Dales and Beacons, were awarded The Reg Cook Trophy for Lodge of the Year 2023 in the West Wirral District.

Jayne Oliver, Assistant District Commissioner for Beavers, presented 4th Heswall Beaver Leader Elizabeth Dennis with The Reg Cook Trophy, who accepted the award on behalf of our Dales and Beacons Beaver Lodges and their leader teams.

It was confirmed during the evening by County Commissioner Chris Valentine-Burrows that West Wirral remains the largest Scout District on Merseyside, although Sefton North are on our heels.

Well done to Luke Weston who has completed his Young Leader training, Luke couldn’t make it on the night but will be presented with his buckle and badge on a Saturday session at the lake very soon.

CONGRATULATIONS to 4th Heswall Beavers  on winning The Reg Cook Trophy for Lodge of the Year 2023; a MASSIVE thank you to our Beaver Leaders Elizabeth and Kate, and their fantastic team of leaders for all their hard work and dedication to Scouting at 4th Heswall every week. Truly well deserved of this recognition.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
