DEE DAY 2024

On a Saturday late in April 2024, members of the Dee Sailing Club, based at the slipway, hosted a Catamaran sailing Experience Day on the Dee Estuary for the 4th Heswall Sea Scouts.

Over 40 young people had an amazing day crewing Dart Catamarans, Sailing to Hilbre Island on a yacht, and Powerboating in the group’s Tornado RIB.

The Dee Sailing Club is a fantastic location with stunning views across the estuary to Wales. During the day, parents , siblings and the Scouts all enjoyed the family barbecue and reasonably priced drinks from the bar whilst sitting out on the lawn watching the Scouts have the time of their lives.

Should you wish to book Dee Sailing Club for your event or join them as a member, you don’t need your own boat, please contact them directly  07821881814

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
