4th Heswall Sea Scouts inspiring young people to ‘dream big’

The 4th Heswall Sea Scouts need you

A Wirral Sea Scout Group is on a mission to encourage more young people to get out into the great outdoors, learn new skills and dream big.
Supported by a fantastic team of dedicated volunteer leaders, the 4th Heswall Sea Scouts, whose members are boys and girls aged 10.5-14, are always encouraged to ask the bigger questions, think on their feet, be part of a team and always have a plan B up their sleeves. All whilst developing key “skills for life”.

Sea Scout Izzie said

“I love Sea Scouts and would recommend it to all.“Over the winter months we enjoy activities such as night hikes, night rides, wide games, cook offs, as well as learning important skills in map reading, mountain safety, first aid, and much more.

“We spend all summer on the water, sailing, paddleboarding, kayaking, canoeing etc. I have learned so much and been encouraged to try new things reaching outside my comfort zone…..and succeeded!”

Being a Sea Scout is about having new experiences, doing things you never thought possible and gaining new skills, all whilst making friends and memories that will last a lifetime.

Scout Izzie goes on to explain

“the experiences and opportunities that Scouts provides is fantastic. I’m so happy I joined and look forward to becoming a young leader to help new scouts develop skills and grow in confidence like I have.”

4th Heswall are on the lookout for new land-based volunteer leaders to join their adventure and play a part in providing even more opportunities for new skills and unforgettable experiences to local young people.

And with lots of fantastic activities already in the works for the coming months, why wouldn’t you want to get involved?
