The Hut is a Hit

It was a big thumbs up for our Cubs as they took to the walls at the Boulder Hut.

Our Cubs traversed, climbed, hanged and slid their way around this fantastic modern bouldering facility on Wirral.

Bouldering is a form of rock climbing that is performed on small rock formations or artificial rock walls, known as boulders.

Designed to be climbed horizontally, not vertically. The challenge of an indoor boulder wall is making it from one side to the other, rather than to the top. Our Cubs were never more than a few feet off the ground which makes it safe and achievable for youngsters.

Traversing develops strength, coordination, and confidence providing superb grass root climbing experience. No ropes, helmet or harnesses are needed, our Cubs were able to free climb under the supervision of the Boulder Hut instructors and our leaders.
