Race Round The World

Date: 29th Oct 2020 Author: Scout Leader

COVID-19 is the biggest crisis we’ve faced in a generation. Over 500 Scout groups – many in communities, already vulnerable before the virus hit are struggling. We cannot let these groups close. Join in a sponsored #RaceRoundTheWorld, to raise vital funds.

Over the coming weeks we will be taking part in several activities to race around the world with our Scouts, Cubs, and Beavers, we are asking for just a small donation each time we meet, just send your young person with the change from your car’s cup holder or the money down the back of the sofa, no matter how small the contribution, every amount will make a difference.

Join our #RaceRoundTheWorld: an epic, sponsored challenge to raise money for the Scout Groups hit hardest by COVID-19

In addition to helping 500  Scout Groups survive this difficult time, you will also be helping 4th Heswall cover some of the shortfall due to the cancellation of our own fundraising events.

Each week our leaders will add up the total and donate the amount to our Race Round the World Team Fundraising Page, and, if you are able, please donate directly to the 4th Heswall Fundraising Team Pages below:

Which Team Will You Support?

Sea Scouts Fundraising Team

Cub Scouts Fundraising Team

Beaver Scouts Fundraising Team

Every time we take part in an event our leaders will log the mileage for that section, you can find out here who is leading on the Race Round The World Map

You can find out more about the fantastic opportunity to rescue vulnerable Scout Groups throughout the UK at the Scouts Race Round The World webpage.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
