Santa Claus is Coming to Town

Date: 13th Dec 2019 Author: Scout Leader

Once again our Sea Scouts, parents and leaders had the opportunity to escort Santa around Heswall as he checks on his route and finds out who has been good this year.

Brandishing a collection tin and armed in only a high-vis vest our Sea Scouts escorted the Heswall Round Table Santa Wagon to help raise much needed funds for lots of other local good causes.

The Sea Scouts are proud to be a part of this Heswall tradition, for many years as little children they have experienced the joy and wonder as Santa passes their house on his sleigh, rocking the neighbourhood with cheers of Merry Christmas, bright christmassey lights, and of course all the greatest hits of Christmas from the last few decades blaring out.

BRAVO Scouts and a huge heartfelt thank you to the Heswall Round Table team for making Scouting memories that will last a lifetime, with an extra special thank you to Sea Scout Leader Mark for stepping up to take the reins and don the suit.

To find out more about Heswall Round Table and the great work they do for local good causes, charity, and the community as a whole please contact the team through their website at www.heswallroundtable.com

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
