Skills For Life

At 4th Heswall we are lucky to be part of such a fantastic Scout District and in March the 4th Heswall Beavers joined over 100 Beavers from 8 other colonies at the West Wirral District Beaver Skills night.

Organised by our district team, each Beaver pack has their own Skills Challenge area in the hall.  Each Beaver patrol then moves around the room taking on the challenges set before them, learning new skills and making lots of friends in the process.

Our Beavers had a fabulous time and came away with many new skills such as sleeping bag packing, candle lighting, shoe lace tying and compass skills.

The core message for the entire Scout Association is ‘Skills For Life’, our plucky little band of Beavers certainly came away with many new skills under their belts.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
