Heswall Treasure Hunt

4^th Heswall Sea Scouts Treasure Hunt 2019…

An unseasonably warm Tuesday night in February provided perfect conditions for our 2019 Treasure Hunt with all Scouts completing the course in good time, if a little longer than we anticipated.

We had 27 Scouts split into 5 teams, they set off from our HQ at timed intervals and a sheet of 37 clues to get them around the 4.6km course.  The route started with an unassisted walk through St. Peter’s graveyard and then back up the Lydiate to our HQ.

Each team then set off with a shadowing adult following further clues which took them up through Dawstone Park, along to Hillside then up to Telegraph Road.  They then cut through the path behind M&S for a chippy supper at Pisces chip shop on Milner Road, which were delicious.

Back to Telegraph and up to the main crossroads before turning right along Pensby Road.  We then cut through to Puddydale park and back to Telegraph Rd at the Ambulance Station.  A spooky walk around the back of Tesco to Feather Lane.  Finally, down Feather Lane steps, up to the Dee View then down School Hill back to the HQ.

All had a packet of Haribo and a cup of juice to finish.

The course time was set at 100 minutes, one point was gained or lost for each 5-minute slot either side of the set time.
