Sea Safe Cubs

During an evening of boathouse introduction, sea safety and beach games our Cub Pack had a visit from the crew of our local RNLI Station in West Kirby.

Our Cubs watched in awe as the crew performed Man Overboard demonstrations on the lake together with an on shore talk about the service they provide and the equipment they use to ensure they stay safe when “Out on a shout.”

Our Cubs then presented the crew with a cheque raised from the proceeds of our recent AGM and Summer Fair and donations from our Dee Catamaran Experience with Dee Sailing Club.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
