St. George’s Day 2019

Over 200 Beavers, Cubs and Scouts march on Wirral Country Park to renew their promise and celebrate St. George

Members of our troop together with other groups from Heswall and Barnston marched from Lower Heswall, along the Wirral Way to the Country Park Camping area for a picnic and celebration.

Over 200 Beavers, Cubs and Scouts from across West Wirral gathered at Wirral Country Park to enjoy an afternoon of circus fun and stunts. We then invested new section members, presented leader awards and renewed our Scout promise to commemorate St. George’s day, the Patron Saint of Scouting.

We returned along the shore line where we learnt about coastal erosion, the dangers of estuary mud and glacial til. All members really enjoyed their day although we returned a bit later than planned.
